Yesterday was the worst day EVER!!

The day started OK, with everything at work going ahead as normal. Then, a man phoned up and had a whinge at me about something totally inconsequential. And when I hung up - I started crying!! It came as a surprise to me as well as everyone else in our office!! Then, I'd just pulled myself together (you know what I mean - to the stage where you're not crying but they're just below the surface) and the letting agent rang to say our references had been declined!! Instead of talking it through, as a normal rational human being would do, I said "OK Thanks very much" (THANKS VERY MUCH ?????) and hung up and then cried - and couldn't stop! In the end, I had to go home because I just couldn't get a grip on myself!!!

Luckily, later on in the afternoon, I managed to pull myself together and phoned her back. We were declined because we'll be just starting as self employed (even thougth I told them at the beginning!) so we've agreed to pay 6 months up front. If I'd not gone hysterical, it could have all been sorted in one phone call!!

Anyway, the good new is that we exchanged yesterday on the sale of our house, so that's definitely going through on Tuesday next week.

I'm going to try very hard and stay calm today ...! ;o)
