Updates

I saw Sonia at the weekend for the first time since our "disagreement" in June and we had a really good time. And the reason for that is that she has finally pulled herself together. Apparently she hit rock bottom during July while I was in a whirlwind about Pat and she decided that she could either sort herself out or resign herself to wasting her life by being miserable all the time. (luckily she went for the first option) She also bought herself a self-help book/dvd which really explores your psyche and hypnotises you. She is the best I’ve seen her for about 2 years and am so impressed, I have ordered the book as well because I could do with some help dealing with my "lot" in life. Will let you know how it goes :o)

I also saw my brother at the weekend. He is back from Malaysia and seems really happy now that he’s a married man. Naturally I have my concerns over his marriage (her not coming back this time is not insignificant me thinks..) but he’s happy and long may it last I say.

Things have settled down at work. The girls have been put straight (in a nice way of course) about the fact that I am the boss. The nurse had her appraisal today and she is in no doubt what is expected of her so hopefully things are now sorted.

I am glad that I decided not to go to Lynsey’s hen weekend. I cancelled because of the cost and also because it’s in Amsterdam - definitely NOT my scene! But she’s going tomorrow! And anyone who’s seen the news today will know that at the moment all flights out of Luton airport are cancelled. I hope they resume before tomorrow or she’s gonna have a crap weekend!
