Last pictures ....

This is Pat holding Lottie. Both are looking as bit gormless, but you get the idea!

And this is my parents. This is the first picture I took on my new digital camera - was very pleased with the result!

More pictures

Here are some pictures of the animals

First is Lottie - our kitten - in fact she's nearly grown up now at 8 months old!

Second is Teddy - cavalier king charles spaniel and a proper softy! Doesn't he look sweet in the picture where he's asleep..?

And lastly is Maureen - our yorkie cross rescue.

Finally we have a decent computer!

Hi - we now have the fastest computer ever! My brother Paul came down and installed it for us. It's all singing all dancing - does EVERYTHING and at lightning speed!!!

To prove it, I will now attach some pictures which I've had on my digital camera since October but haven't been able to do anything with them!

The first one is of Sonia's birthday last December. From left to right is Helen (my brother Phil's ex), Sonia, me, Pat and Karen.

The second one is of Sonia and me - also on Sonia's birthday (I am on the right)

Sorry to gloat, but ....

Sorry to gloat, but I am well and truly HAPPY at the moment and quite frankly, every day I wake up and am amazed at how happy I am and how much I'm looking forward to the day! I can't remember ever being this happy and since losing my baby in 2002 (I'm fast approaching the 4th anniversary) I haven't really been very happy at all - to the point that I thought things would never change.

For some reason, this move has meant a total change in lifestyle for me and really truly believe that this fresh start was the best thing that's ever happened to me - to us.

I am totally loving working at the surgery and we get on well working together. The 2 staff members like us and are happy and the clients love us! We're earning plenty of money and things are going about 200% better than we expected them to at this point.

The purchase of the new house is all going ahead and we are expecting to complete in April sometime. We can't wait!

In fact I can't think of a single thing to complain about!

PS Paul and Alice are coming down tomorrow and are bringing our new computer. I will then be able to furnish this blog with lots of pictures for your viewing pleasure! :o)

Good News x 3 !!

Good News #1 We have bought a house! Hurrah!

We started looking again about 2 weeks ago because we’re not 100% comfortable in this rented house. We thought it would take ages to find something as we have been looking since October, but we found something at the second viewing this time around. We decided that we weren’t going to go for a horrible 4 bed in a not very nice position (because we couldn’t afford a nice 4 bed in a nice position) so decided as it’s only the 2 of us, that we’d go for a nice 3 bed in a nice position.

This particular house is in an excellent location (only a 5 min walk from the surgery). It is on a large end plot with room for 3 cars on the wide driveway and a large garden. And as the plot is so large, it would be easy to extend in the future. The downside is that it’s a bit scruffy (although they have just put in a brand new kitchen and bathroom) and it also only has single glazed windows. Because of this we got it for a song and have enough money for double glazing and redecoration and new flooring throughout. And once that’s done, we will have a really nice home. And the best part is that because we’re in rented, we’re going to complete on the house and get the work done before moving in. Excellent!!

Here is a picture of the front of the house and the garden.

Good news #2 My brother is getting married - in MAY!!

My brother, Phil, is marrying his Indonesian girlfriend in May!!!! Shock Horror!!
He split with his long term girlfriend Helen (who I’m seeing tomorrow coincidentally) in August last year. They’d been living together for about 2 years and Helen was always nagging at him that she wanted to get married, but he always made excuses and in the end they split. Phil is at the moment working for the Malaysian Government and has been living in Kuala Lumpur on & off for 9 months. (Helen maintains that this is one of the reasons they split - he was always abroad) Aaaanyway, just before Christmas, Phil says that he has met an Indonesian girl who was on holiday in Kuala Lumpur and they have been seeing each other for a month or so (he flies to Jakarta or she flies to KL) He was in England over Christmas and went out there at the end of January and the next thing - they’re engaged!! He has met her family and they approve (mainly because to them, my brother is a millionaire!) He’s planning of bringing her over in Mrch for us all to meet her and then they’re back to KL until my brother’s contract finishes. They are then going to get married and then come to England to live. He says that they have to be married in order for her to be allowed into the country. We are happy for him, but hope he’s not just a passport for her.

Good news #3 Our practice is doing well and we are appearing in the local newspaper!
We have been really busy networking and the business is doing better than expected. We haven’t lost any clients and are getting new ones all the time. Pat seems to have already become a bit of a local celebrity amongst the local pet owners who seem to love him!

I've tried to post the photo that's appearing in the newspaper, but it doesn't seem to have worked. Will try doing something different and see if it will post the second time.
